Thank you for visiting.

The M.N.A. Harwich & District was formed in the year 2000 and has approx 140 full members. With many new members joining now on a regular basis as we become known throughout our area.

The Branch meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the R A Club Room, at the Park Pavillion, Barrack Lane, Harwich. Entry is through the Connexions door, and starts at 19.30hrs.

The official side of the meetings is kept as brief as possible to allow maximum time for socializing and reminiscing.

At the January meeting, and then every other month, we show a Snowbow video featuring life at sea 'in the good old days!'.

The Branch committee is very good at dealing with matters and presenting decisions to the members which are invariably accepted with little comment, we are a very happy ship.

On Sunday 3rd of September 2006, official Merchant Navy Day saw the unveiling and dedication of the Merchant Navy Association Harwich and District branch memorial to British Seafarers for their service and sacrifices to our country over the years, both in times of peace and conflict.

New member are always welcome and can contact the Honorary Secretary Kate Wilson on 01255 506 373. Or our membership Secretary Mr. Douglas Fitzgerald 01255 503 109.
